What does it mean when you say ‘Jesus’?

First, I believe we wouldn’t really know the answer if we don’t know Jesus in a personal matter. The first thing one needed to do to know what Jesus is, is go find a secret place, read His word, kneel down,  earnestly seek God and allow God to fill you up with His presence. Be desperate for the glory of God. And then, you will know the answer.

Now, other than being the Son Of God, what does ‘Jesus’ mean?

By God’s help, I will summarize this into three ideas: Jesus is the way…. The truth… the life….

1.       Jesus is the way
-          The reason Jesus was sent was to die. And His death will reconnect the separated creation to its master. We are a sinner disconnected to God the moment Adam and Eve bowed down to temptation and this failure is the reason why human beings are automatically separated from God and the only way to be connected to God is thru the death that Jesus did on the cross.  The only thing we need to do is to accept Jesus as our personal Savior and Lord so that we can access the way to the Kingdom of God.

2.       Jesus is the truth
-          We all know that Jesus is the complete opposite of the Devil. And the bible says that the devil is the father of lies.  Whenever the devil speaks, he says nothing but the complete opposite of God’s words and promises. God says love one another, protect each other and be merciful to one another, the devil says hate each other, murder each other and do not forgive one another. The devil will always do anything to distort the truth. The truth that God is a God of love and His love is everlasting. This is the reason why it is important for us to listen to the voice of God. Satan will always create a substitute truth to lead us away from God. Jesus speaks the truth and that truth is written only in the Bible but make sure that we read the real one. There are bibles written with additional thoughts not from God but created by man. Also never forget, Pray and earnestly seek God so that, until the end of time, we will stay in the truth.

3.       Jesus is Life

-          As a naturally born sinner, all of us were scheduled to a one way trip to hell, a place of eternal suffering. But we have one remedy for that trip to be cancelled, Jesus.  John 3:16 says “For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only son so that whoever believes in Him will not perish but have eternal LIFE.” Jesus’ death will ultimately connect us to God and in return, all of those who accepted Him as his personal Lord and Savior will have life. Life not here on Earth although yes He is a healer here on Earth and brings people to life here on Earth, but we have to remember that Life on Earth is only temporary but the life that Jesus brought was eternal life in the presence of the Lord.

Note: After 3 days of His death, He was resurrected and was sent back to heaven.
